RANDOM: WHAT’S UP GIZMO?, originally uploaded by Tiggah Tigz.

Gizmo was being too cute this morning. He must have been up to something…

Pooh and I went to the beach on Monday with our buddy Matt. Unfortunately, we got there a bit late and it was pretty cloudy. We still had fun though. It was a nice relaxing day. We went to Blacks Beach, which is a nude beach, but we didn’t get nekked. Maybe next week. :)

I’ve been meaning to post about our trip to Analog Bar but just haven’t gotten around to doing so. Since I’m waiting for hundreds of photos to upload to Flickr, I figure I might as well do it now!

Pooh usually takes a 5-8 mile jog after work and always runs through downtown. He said that he’s always been curious about Analog Bar because it looked really nice inside and there would always be lots of people lined up outside. After checking out their website and their interesting menu, we decided to try it out for dinner.

Being the technopheliacs that we are, we were extremely excited to see drop down projector screens with playable PS3, XBOX 360, and Wii games. The interior was very hip, fun, and comfortable. We were really digging the restaurant/bar’s aesthetic and we didn’t get that snooty vibe that you get when you go to some downtown restaurants. We were definitely anxious to try their food…plus we were starving!

The menu had very interesting items. I wanted to try everything!

I ordered the Pan Seared Scallops. Friggin amazing dude! I could have preferred a bit more of a sear on some of the scallops but they were still delicious. The truffle infused sauce with sauteed mushrooms was so delicious that I literally cleaned the entire plate.

We both shared the Potato Spiral, which by the way is only $1.50 during happy hour and is OMG WOW DELICIOUS! Yes, I’m that excited about it. They were like fresh home made potato chips that came with a really tasty dipping sauce that they call “stereo sauce”.

Pooh ordered a Mac Daddy Burger. I didn’t taste it, but damn…

We really enjoyed our dinner. I would love to try it again soon. We just usually don’t go downtown much but we’d definitely go for Analog Bar! There’s still so many things on the menu that I want to try…like the LOBSTER CORNDOG!!!

So I haven’t uploaded to Flickr since my Samsung got smashed during SD Pride. It’s been quite a while. I thought I’d upload all of my pics since I found a new app on my phone that allows me to upload directly to Flickr with ease. Check out my Flickr page if you want! =)

I’ll be using my Flickr page to upload all of my personal photos. The naughty stuff will just be in the gallery section of my blog since I’d rather not have my Flickr page deleted again. I do have lots of pictures uploaded to my Facebook, however, I’m much more selective with what I post on there.

The simple things in life are sometimes the most special.  I love waking up next to my Poohburr every day.  :)

Pooh and I tried a new place for dinner tonight. We went to Tao since we heard some good things from our co-workers. There was a 20 minute wait but since we couldn’t think of anywhere else to go we decided to TRY and wait patiently. I was starving! My stomach felt like it was going to eat itself. Fortunately, the time passed rather quickly. I liked that they took phone numbers down and called when our table was ready. Next time we’ll just grab a coffee at the Starbucks around the corner while we wait for the call.

Tao is a small humble restaurant but the food is full of big bold flavors. If you’re a fan of spicy foods then you’ll LOVE this place. I absolutely love spicy food so I was very excited. The menu had a large selection but didn’t seem too overwhelming. I was also impressed with their equally large and enticing vegetarian menu. We didn’t order off of the vegetarian menu but I am definitely going to the next time we eat there.

They gave us a complimentary salad while we waited for our orders. It was a refreshing and delicious spring salad with nuts, raspberry vinaigrette, and their amazing homemade tofu. I really enjoyed the salad. It’s definitely a good sign of what’s to come when the house salad tastes delicious.

We both started with the Garlic Chicken Wings Appetizer. They were frikkin awesome! They were deep fried and glazed with the most incredible spicy and tangy sauce. Definitely one of the best chicken wings I’ve ever had. I don’t normally like to eat with my hands, but I was getting down and dirty chowing down those wings! I was more than happy to lick the sauce off of every finger. :)

Pooh ordered the Red Chicken Entree with Brown Rice. I had a couple bites and loved how juicy and tender the chicken was. The sauce packed a punch but wasn’t too spicy where all you can taste is the burning of your tongue. I could taste all of the different flavors in the dish instead of just one muddle spicy note. Delicious!

I ordered the Garlic Fish. I’ve been craving some homemade Fried Talapia lately so I thought I’d try the Garlic Fish. It definitely is nothing like Fried Talapia but omg was it yummy! The outside was nice and crunchy; the inside was soft and buttery. The textures definitely blended well together and so did the flavors. We both ordered our dishes with a spiciness of 9 out of 10 so they were both pretty hot!

I am definitely glad we tried Tao for dinner tonight. We’ll definitely be visiting the place a lot!

After dinner Pooh and I headed to BabyCakes for some Tea and Bread Pudding :) Gotta have yummy desert after yummy dinner!
