I met with my surgeon last Monday about options to fix my hernia. (If you didnβt know already, I got a hernia in July from overdoing it when I was working out). Unfortunately, the procedure will require about about a week to recover and about 2 to 3 weeks of limited mobility with no heavy lifting (over 25lbs). With my schedule and with the holiday season coming up, plus itβll be crazy at workβ¦I won’t be able to have my surgery until after January. He also said that I shouldnβt do any working out until after Iβve had my surgery and have fully recovered. My condition is very minor and not physically noticeable at the moment but it could get a lot worse if I do anything strenuous. I feel so insecure and βblahβ about my body since I havenβt been working out much. I was working so hard to try n bulk up and was actually seeing resultsβ¦but now I feel as though Iβm shrinking down to where I started. You might have noticed that I haven’t been posting many “Tigguhh” pics. I know I shouldn’t be feeling so insecure but it kinda sucks. :( I like to think positive so I know I’ll get over this…I just felt like venting. *sigh*

September 28, 2011While I know that the surgery is not major, you must really of tore the area. If its a minor tear they try to let it heal naturally. If you talk to the surgeon, you probably could workout as long as you isolate the other muscles and don’t use heavy weights. In other words toning instead of muscle building.
I do sympathize with you, I screwed up my shoulders using a Smith machine when I was only use to using free weights. All I felt was fluid rushing from my shoulders and instant pain. I know I it has to be operated on but I refuse and lost about 30 pounds of muscle as a result.

October 18, 2011WTH!! if you feel insecure with “that”, how much more for us lower beings. LOLs. you look great! you shouldnt only workout to look great, its supposed to make you healthy. if it causes injury instead, then try to trim down a bit. but seriously, you’re GREAT!(CAPS and all)
