It seems summer decided to pay San Diego an early visit. Pooh and I decided to relax and spend the day at the beach today. We figured we’ll be working this Tuesday through Saturday wishing we’d could play out in the sun, so we might as well enjoy it while we can!
One of the things I really don’t like about going to the beach…is beach feet. Right after you get out of the water, sand sticks to your feet and for some reason it just doesn’t get off. I really don’t like getting dirty so I guess it probably just bothers me and no one else. I guess I can’t ever have sex on the beach or else I’ll have a major panic attack. :P
Hmm. Well, I felt like posting a new post…and so I did. :)
Pooh and I went to Artwalk in Little Italy with Tribal today. We didn’t stay too long because we wanted to spend the day swimming at Tribal’s place. It is extremely hot and humid in San Diego right now. I’m not very fond of hot weather. I’m more of a winter guy. :)
Last night we had some friends over for some drinks. We were planning on going out but we ended up just having fun at our place. Afterwards we had some late night mexican food from Lalo’s. MMmmmmMmmMmmm…
All this humidity is making my allergies act up. Pooh and I don’t have an air conditioning in our apartment so it gets pretty hot in our place. We make do by walking around the house with very little on. Sitting naked in front of the fan helps too. :)
How do you usually deal with the heat?
(Tigguhh’s been out n about since it’s been really hot lately…I’ve uploaded some images to my Flickr Page. It looks like I need to start hitting the gym to work on getting that “summer body”! I’m getting a bigger belly from drinking and eating out late every night haha.)
So I’ve started teaching my dance classes and things are going great. It’s nice and refreshing to be able to be creative after having to do my day job from 9-7pm. Here’s a clip from one of the classes I taught :) Enjoy!
Sorry I haven’t been posting lately. We’ve been going out every night to pre-celebrate my birthday. We’ll be having a big birthday bash tomorrow. For those of you new to my blog…you can check out my birthday post from last year! (There are actually 4 posts…pt 1, pt 2, pt 3, pt 4)
Yay…Happy Birthday to meeh!
I’ll post all of the pictures from my birthday celebration soon!
Pooh and I thoroughly enjoyed our weekend! We had the most perfect weather to relax and unwind. Yesterday we enjoyed some drinks and food at Tribal’s mom’s house in Oceanside. We played, we swam, we laid in the sun, we took a dip in the Jacuzzi, we ate and ate and ate…It was a perfect day and very well spent.
Today, Pooh and I decided to take advantage of our beautiful San Diego weather by walking around Hillcrest. We first headed to Whole Foods to get some breakfast. I had Creme Brulee French Toast, some eggs, rosemary potatoes, and some slices of bacon. It was yummy!
We then headed over to Starbucks for a nice tall refreshing iced coffee. We hung out for a while and then made our way to the nearby pet store to admire the puppies! Pooh and I really really want one but unfortunately our property does not allow pets. :( We usually visit the puppies to cheer ourselves up but we always end up leaving sad and depressed because we want to take one home.
We went home to prepare our taxes and sent them out…yes, the fruits of procrastination are often bitter…but at least we finally got them done. :) I’m looking forward to our returns…wuhoo!
After mailing out our forms, we headed to West Elm to get some spring time slash pre-summer ideas. I want to get some new sheets since it’s getting warmer and I also want to get a new couch and seating for the living room. I promised myself I wouldn’t get anything since we’ve been on save mode. I was a good boy today. :) We also gave Crate & Barrel a visit since we were in the area. It was a nice day to walk around the mall so we did some window shopping as well. Fortunately for us I didn’t see anything that interested me.
We had sushi for lunch at Ichiban. We had a Shrimp Roll, Spicy California Roll, Philadelphia Roll, and Crunchy Roll. It was simply scrumptulescent!!! It was perfect for a hot day like today! I was stuffed :)
After lunch we headed home, hopped in our car, and ran some errands – a trip to Fry’s Electronics, Ralph’s for some laundry detergent, the bank for a deposit and a roll of quarters, and Ace Hardware for some home improvement.
It seems like we had a really really long day, but the day isn’t over yet. Pooh and I still have the rest of the night. We’ll be having dinner with Tribal and I have no idea what kind of shenanigans we’ll be getting into!
(Pooh has some pictures from yesterday on his phone. I’ll post them on this post soon)
Last Wednesday we went to the Padres game at Petco Park. Pooh and I got 4 free tickets from work and brought along our friends Tribal and Mark. We got great seats! We haven’t been to a game in forever! I think the last time I went I was probably 12 or 13 and we sat all the way in the nosebleed section. At the time, I didn’t care much for the game and my cousins and I would just throw peanuts at each other.
I almost forgot how awesome it was to buy over priced hotdogs, expensive peanuts, and $9 bottles of beer! ::insert sarcasm here:: lol. We still had a lot of fun though.
I’ve posted some images from our time at the game.
We were winning…and they had a grand entrance for the pitcher…and all of a sudden…we lost. :( Darn. Oh well…at least it was fun!
Pooh and Tribal went to the beach yesterday. I opted to stay home to clean the house and relax a bit. Afterwards…I got pretty bored. Lol. I thought I’d take some pictures of our room since we’ve painted it and I haven’t posted it yet. There are some sheets from West Elm that I really want to get when summer comes around. It’ll be very refreshing! After taking random pics of our room I spent the rest of the day playing video games. :) Later, we all headed to Tribal’s apartment complex and relaxed in the jaccuzi. It was very relaxing!
