Talk about “Deck the Halls”…

This place was hella decked out!

Pooh and I were visiting Pooh’s mom’s house recently and passed by this house. We just had to stop and enjoy the wonderful display of lights and holiday cheer! It stood out because there were no other holiday lights on any of the houses nearby. I thought it was cute :)

Anyway, I know I haven’t been posting much lately, but unfortunately this holiday season has been a bit hard for me. Since I’ve been promoted (which by the way, has been going great!) I am an exempt employee and will have to work crazy hours for the month of December. Overtime is a bitch! I’m currently working 10 hour days and will have Sunday the 16th as my only day off until the 25th. On the bright side, I’ll have a nice week of vacation the 28th through the 2nd. Well, I’m not complaining…I’ll take as much as I can get this holiday season :) I hope everyone’s holiday season is treating them well. I miss you all very much!

I’m sure many of you have been wondering what Pooh and I have been up to so I thought I’d catch you all up on the recent adventures Pooh and I have been having.

Pooh decided he’d like to start a collection of images of him with…er well you decide what to call it:

LOL…Pooh is so silly…

Pooh, Tribal, and I recently enjoyed a great bottle of wine along with a cheese platter at Extraordinary Desserts in Little Italy. The cheese is very tasty! It is a bit pricey and portions are minimal but I definitely recommend giving it a try.

—————————–

Our company Christmas dinner was held at Roy’s in La Jolla. Their food was incredible! Their appetizers were simply scrumptulescent and the entrees were impeccable! I think anyone who enjoys fine dining and a great meal should try Roy’s for a night.

—————————–

Pooh spent our last weekend off before starting our holiday hours just spending nice quality time together. We just drove around and enjoyed what the beautiful day had to offer! We randomly decided to stop by Ikea, since we were in the area, for a cup of coffee and a cinnamon bun. Yum!

Can you tell I have a cold? :(

We later went to Balboa Park for a nice romantic stroll at night to enjoy the lights!
Pooh took some pictures with his Nikon. I’ll post them as soon as he uploads them :) The only images I snapped were pretty random.

Pooh and I slow danced in the very same spot we slow danced a couple years ago; back when Pooh and I didn’t live together and we first were dating. I thought it was sweet :) I love slow dancing with Pooh when we’re out alone and it’s silent. I love to hear the music in my mind and just forget about anyone and anything around us. It’s a wonderful feeling.

We then headed home and enjoyed a delicious pizza dinner.

Yummy!

Last night Pooh and I felt like having soup from Chow Noodle House in Hillcrest. It was perfect for such a cold evening!

There were some lovely flowers on our table. I took some pictures of them :)

Well, I hope you all enjoyed my quick summary of events. I hope everyone is well. I’d like to wish everyone a very happy holiday season! Keep your eyes open for my next post!

Hey Tiggah, happy new year :)

My bf sent me your blog url and I’m enjoying it – you guys are too cute and you have such a varied life.

But one thing is bugging me. Almost every paragraph, the second sentence ends in an exclamation mark, or very occasionally a smiley.

That’s a LOT of exclamation marks… someone, I can’t remember who, maybe Ezra Pound or Raymond Carver, said he never used more than one per book. If you use them a lot, you sound so sweet and enthusiastic, you give your readers diabetes!

So maybe change it up a little, see where that takes you?

    Greetings from Melbourne, Australia.

thanks for all the great comments guys!

    Daniel,

    I love my use of exclamation marks and smilies :) !!!!!! :) :) :)

I like to keep things in a lighter sense and I like to show my enthusiasm and excitement. I blog because I want to share my love for life and all my wonderful experiences. Yes, it seems a bit ebullient but I don’t have an exclamation mark behind every sentence. Everything I blog is posted because I felt enthusiastic about it…so why not show my enthusiasm? I’ve read a book about selling and the main emphasis was “enthusiasm”. Enthusiasm sells, and enthusiasm helps you sell. I know I’m not selling anything on my blog, but such is life…love what you’re doing and live life to the fullest! Oh, and smile while you’re doing it :)
