LIFE IS RANDOM. I'M RANDOM. WE'RE ALL RANDOM.

Ugh… (02.26.09)

I’m finally getting over this flu that I’ve had since Friday. We had a late rehearsal Thursday night and we didn’t get out until 2:30am. I was tried, sweaty, and freezing since it was so cold out. The next day I woke up with the most horrible aches and a really bad fever. Unfortunately, we had a performance on Saturday so we needed to go to another all night rehearsal Friday night. I rested all day on Friday so I could make the rehearsal. Saturday came and I still wasn’t feeling any better. All I could do is rest back stage and hope I don’t pass out on stage. I had a towel soaked with water wrapped around my face and neck to cool down my fever. I was also lucky enough to find someone with some Ibuprophin. As the day progressed my fever slowly went away and I was well enough to perform. I don’t think I did as well as I could of if I weren’t sick, but I still had fun and I think we did great. After the performance Pooh and I headed home so I could knock out.

My fever still kept coming in and out throughout the weekend. It seemed it’d get really bad at night and extremely bad around 3-4am. On Monday I woke up with a fever but Pooh helped nurse it away quickly. Fortunately, I haven’t broken out into a fever since then. Now I’m just congested and coughing like crazy, but I’m feeling a lot better. Pooh took really great care of me. He did his very best do keep my fever down. He also made me soup and would always get me OJ and water. I love my Poohburr!

Street Fighter IV – PS3 (02.19.09)

Pooh and I just picked up our copy of Street Fighter IV today. Our preorder came with a free Ryu headband – awesome! Of course, I won’t ever wear it but it’s nice to know that my preorder came with something :) We didn’t get the collectors edition but now I am starting to wish that I did since I really love all of the Street Fighter games. My favorite is Marvel vs Capcom 2.

Pooh and I are playing it right now as I type and we’re getting our asses kicked by Sagat.

The game is extremely beautiful and the special moves are pretty nifty. I don’t really care much for the little anime cut scenes but I guess it’s good that there’s some kind of story line for each character. I haven’t been able to dabble with the multiplayer yet but we’ll get to it soon.

If any of you have a PS3, be sure to send me an invite and I’ll do my best to hand your ass to you on a silver platter :)

My PSN is tiggahtigz

Valentines 09′ (02.17.09)

This year, I surprised Pooh with a nice little Valentines dinner. Since we were pressed for time because of our performance, I decided to get take-out of his favorite dish from Amarin…plus, Pooh’s the better cook. I got him roses and we downed a yummy bottle of Champagne.

Performance Night @ V20 (02.14.09)

Pooh and I will be performing at V20 Night Club in Long Beach on Saturday night, Feb 14th…yup, on Valentines Day. How exciting! If you’re in the area you should come check it out! Hopefully I’ll be able to get video of the performance and post it.

Unfortunately, Pooh has work during the day and we’ll have to head to Long Beach right after, so we won’t be able to do anything special for Valentines day. We’ll be performing at an upscale club in Long Beach and hanging out in the VIP area with bottle service so I guess it will be a nice little Valentines celebration…plus we’ll be celebrating on Monday since Pooh is off that day!

I thought I’d post some pics from last year’s Valentines Day since Flickr decided to delete all of my images and they are no longer available on last year’s post.

I hope everyone has a great weekend and a Happy Valentines day!

Pooh surprised me after work with a beautiful home made dinner and wine. He filled the house with rose pedals and candles…so romantic!

He scattered pictures of our very first homemade dinner…yea, we made a big deal about it. At the time, I didn’t have a blog, but I loved to record all the special moments with my camera.

Heroes (02.12.09)

For those of you that have been following my blog from the beginning, you’d know that I’m a huge fan of Heroes. I was somewhat disappointed and irritated with Season 3 Volume 1: Villains. It just seemed like they were trying to toy with our emotions – hating characters we’ve grown to love and also having us start liking the people we hated. I also could of done with less time travel. Although Hiro is one of my favorite characters, he and his “it’s my destiny”-shit is getting annoying…especially since he keeps fucking everything up! I know I’ve said it several times before, but when are they going to kill Suresh!? Anyway, Heroes has started up again and I am very happy to say that Volume 2: Fugitives has gotten me to the edge of my seat. The recent episodes have been exciting, thrilling, and had me wanting more. I can’t wait until next Monday!

American Idol 2009 (02.12.09)

I’ve never really watched a full season of American Idol before. Pooh and I usually would watch the auditions and then fast forward to the “good performances” with our DVR. We’ve actually been following every episode so far this season and I think we’ll be watching all the episodes this time around. One of my most favorite contestants is Danny Gokey. I LOVE his voice!

Weekend with my crappy camera! (02.10.09)

Pooh and I went with our friend Manny to Lucky Dog in downtown. A friend of ours told us that everything was 75% off because they were closing down. To our disappointment, it was only 75% off on select items; not so great items and not that many of them. I just picked up a couple little chew toys for Gizmo and we went on our way.

While we were in downtown we decided to check out the Chinese New Year Food and Cultural Fair. There was lots of food and performances. I really wanted to take pictures of the Dragon and Lion Dances but despite how awesome my Google Phone is, the camera is pretty crappy. There is so much delay! When it finally takes a picture the subject moves and the image ends up blurry. Ugh.

I’ve realized that I haven’t been posting much about the places we’ve been eating and the sights we’ve been seeing because my phone’s camera sucks and our Nikon D80 is much too bulky to carry around all the time. Fortunately, I have a dummy sim card that I can put in my Sony Ericsson K800i so I can use it as a camera until I go and buy a small point ‘n shoot.
