Happy Turkey Day everyone! I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving. Best wishes from Pooh and Tiggah!
Happy Thanksgiving! (11.28.08)
Mojos at StarBar (11.18.08)
Pooh and I went to Starbar with some friends to pound down some drinks Sunday night. I made everyone try a Mojo. It wasn’t too big of a hit with everyone since it’s a pretty crazy strong drink…but I love it anyway! I was craving it for a while so it was nice to have one, or two. I was telling a friend that I’ve been craving it for a while and the bartender looked at me, smiled, and said “you must have some issues if you’ve been craving it.” LOL. It’s pretty much a hangover in a glass.
We had a lot of fun that night. After Starbar we headed over to Rich’s. As we walked towards Rich’s we ran into some friends that convinced us to party at Flicks. It was Karaoke night. Of course, I would never Karaoke…but we did play pool. After we played pool we headed over to our place to play Rock Band. We played till 4am!

I thought I’d post this pic of Pooh Joey and I at World of Dance right before we went up to perform. I like this pic!
Jay Brannan at House of Blues Pt. 2 (11.18.08)
Pooh and I saw Jay Brannan at the House of Blues tonight. It was amazing!
His voice is incredibly beautiful and sexy. He was also very charming and funny.
The performance was held in a very romantic and intimate setting. It was nice to have Pooh holding me close while he sang his songs. For some reason it reminded me of India Arie’s music video for “Ready For Love”. Jay had everyone’s undivided attention. You can tell that his voice had us all mesmerized and smiling ear to ear. We both had great seats…no one was blocking our view. We had a couple drinks. I started off with a Bud Light and Pooh had a vodka tonic. Afterwards, I ordered a Greygoose Martini (clean with one olive) and Pooh got another vodka tonic.
I loved everything he sang! We wanted to take a picture with him but there were too many guys that were trying to talk to him. I hope Pooh and I can get a picture with him the next time we see him perform. He’ll be performing in San Francisco next. I definitely recommend seeing him perform if you’re in the Bay.
Dim Sum Day (11.17.08)
Sony Cyber-shot T700 (11.17.08)
Sony Gray Cyber-shot® T700 Digital Camera DSC-T700/H
Pooh and I were at Bestbuy today looking for a new home theater system (mainly a receiver and possibly some new speakers…if the price is right) because ours is extremely old and crapped out. The sound keeps cutting in n’ out and it’s bugging the hell out of us. I’m pretty good with electronics but despite my astuteness in gadgetry, I was unable to fix it. :(
Anyway, I got sidetracked and started to “browse” in the camera section. One of the toys that caught my eye was the T700. I very much enjoyed playing with it. It’s sleek, sexy, lightweight, and captures great quality images. I didn’t get to play with it too long but it’s definitely something on my I-don’t-really-need-it-but-it’d-be-nice-to-have list.
Unfortunately, there were no receivers that we thought were worth purchasing. We ended up going to Pei Wei to eat dinner.
Blogworthy – Pei Wei (11.16.08)
Pooh and I had dinner at Pei Wei Asian Diner tonight. The makers of PF Chang’s created Pei Wei – same great taste and quality, minus the waiters, and twice as fast. It’s somewhat of a “fast food” take on PF Chang’s menu and definitely cheaper. Pei Wei reminds me of Pick Up Stix but way better. I’d recommend trying it out!
Pooh had their Kung Pao Chicken and I had the Pei Wei Spicy Chicken. We also had to try their Crab Wontons. Delicious!

BTW, the staff at the Mission Valley location had quite a few hotties working :)
